The CSCC Connection Camp 09/10 was a GREAT SUCCESS.
Tho some of my friends said it wasnt as memorable as CSCC FOC [freshmen orientation camp, not free of charge],
It was still great.
Haha.
Tho I rather regret not going for the FOC.
LOL.
Kk.
Everything was awesome.
1st day, the station games, the angels & devils.
2nd day, the amazing race, the station games, Pyjamas disco night.
3rd day, the performance, the dance at the end of the camp.

During the amazing race,
Desmond and Chee Siong in SOOKA, my grp, wore bra for a station.
Muahaha.
So funny and daring.
They walked from dhoby guat to bugis wearing that bra.
Haha.
They were really daring.

During the performance,
Grp Ruggy did a great job i think.
Thy danced "Sorry Sorry".
Gary in the grp danced the proper whole dance.
The 3 other guys tried to follow and danced properly the chorus part.
Hong Chiong, 1 of the guys, attracted all our attention.
He was so so funny.
He danced in such a funny way as he didnt really know how to dance.
So actually danced a comical dance.
Haha.

Pyjamas Disco Night.
Were fooled that we were going to have a nightwalk.
Taken to Dance@Moberly.
A puff of white gas was being sprayed when we went in.
We thought they were going to make us watch horror movie.
In the end, disco lights came.
And music blasted.
Awww!
Disco night!
All enjoyed and were high during the disco time.
Really enjoyed it!
EVERYONE!
No one wished to leave even after the disco night.
As we knew it was the last night of the camp.
Plus our Campchief, Joshua aka Mr Referee, used a sad tone.
Making everyone reluctant to leave.

Passed her the stuff I bought for her in Taiwan and got my bday present.

Taipei 101, 台北101, Danshui Lao Jie, 淡水老街 & Fisherman's Wharf, 渔人码头
Taipei 101 was very high indeed.
Didnt get to sit their high speed lift.

Danshui lao jie was good.
Quite some stuff to shop.
Ate the tall ice cream.
Theirs ice cream not like the ice cream we usually ate.

Wont be as fattening if ate much.

Fisherman's wharf was awesome.
First, went there to see Sunset.
So cool!
It's really beautiful when the sea reflects the Sun!

Taipei Trip Day 5
Wu Fen Pu, 五分浦, Maid Theme Restaurant, 女仆店 & Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store, 新光三越百货
Went to Xin Guang San Yue Bai Huo.
We went when they just opened.
Almost everyone greeted, "欢迎光临".
And their "Huan Ying Guang Lin" was like "Huan Ying Guang [guang is of higher pitch] Lin".
Not only them actually, alot other shops outside too!
Goodness!
Very fresh to me.
Haha.
In S'pore, most wont even bother to welcome you.
Do they?
Haha.

Ate at the Maid Theme Restaurant before going to Wu Fen Pu.
They really called you "主人".
Oh my!
Goosebumps eh.
So weird when they called me Zhu Ren when taking my order and when serving my food up.
Goodness Sake!
No wonder Zai Nan will like.
Not really for girls, are they?

Wu Fen Pu next.
I was initially so excited and enthusiastic abt going there.
Thought I would be bringing bags and bags of clothes and shoes back to hotel and home.
But I actually bought nothing [if remember correctly] from there!
I was so depressed and sad.
All synonyms of depress and sad suited my mood that time.

Taipei Trip Day 6, Last Day )=
Taipei underground mall, 台北地下购物广场
I like this shopping area.
Simply coz there are quite some shoes shops there.
And each shoe shop have a lot of shoes.
Muahaha!
I like shopping for shoes.
Wonder why too!
And most were QUITE CHEAP!
Of course there are shoes that are of abt the same price as Singapore's.
Bought 3 pairs of shoes during this last min shopping.
Woots!
Happy till mad!
And total only for 450NTD, which = ard SGD 20 - 21.
Cheap seh?
Hehehehe!
Headed back to hotel afterwards.
Wanted to buy a pair of slippers eagerly.
But mum dont allow.

So, gave temper abit that time.

Waited for the departure transfer bus.
They were LATE!
Tho not very late, but still, who would want to risk missing the flight?
Furthermore, they went to alight some of the ppl they fetched or something to their hotel first?!

We paid $30 per person for this and this all we get?
Late and alighting of others to their hotel first?
Other than the comfortable seats in the big bus, nothing else are good i think.
Not even the person who are responsible for this departure transfer.
She saw and knew that we had lots of stuff to carry.
1stly, needed us to walk a distance to the bus coz big bus cant get into the small lane.
2ndly, didnt even offer to help us carry some of our stuff when her hand was almost empty, holding only a few pcs of paper?
3rdly, tho big bus, it's kinda useless eh.
No cabin underneath the bus that can store our luggage?

Before they came, a small van that's from the same agency that we used when reached Taiwan came to fetch the other 3 ladies.
We thought it was us coz it's the same co. stated in the departure transfer paper given to us.
We were still thinking how come so early?
20 mins earlier eh.
Then we knew that it's a mistake.
We heard another lady asked the driver how much it cost for the departure transfer service.
He said 1000NTD, which = ard 45SGD.
Moreover, this should be for one van instead of person.
So we paid double for this lousier service!
Hello, what's this abt?
Luckily, we still managed to reach the boarding waiting area early.
If not, we would be cursing them for sure.
FOR SURE!

TAIWAN TRIP DAY 1
Reached Taiwan, Taipei at ard 5pm.
Settled our luggage at Rainbow Hotel.
Went to Miramar, 美丽华 to sit ferry wheel.
I was SO STIFF when sitting.
After sitting, that's the end of the day.
Back to hotel.

TAIWAN TRIP DAY 2
City Tour for the day.
Went to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, 中正纪念堂.
Didnt stay there long due to time restriction by the tour guide.
Also, couldnt take much pics due to the rain on that day.
Headed afterwards to Martyr's Shrine, 忠烈祠.
There were really soldiers guarding at the gate like statues.
They cant move a single bit and neither can they smile.
They CAN ONLY MOVE THEIR EYES to look left and right.
When we reached there, it was time they changed ppl to guard.
So there was their marching performance.
The sun was scorching hot at that time.
And yet, they needed to wear their thick uniform to march.
And their marching is so much slower than ours.
Other than marching, there was performance like throwing of theirs guns.

It was Chiufen, 九份, next.
Bought machi, 麻芝 and jelly, 果冻 there.
There is a caligraphy shop.
They sell a paper meant for children to learn caligraphy.
Water is used to write caligraphy on the paper.
It'll evaporate a while later and it can be reused to write again.
So recycling right?
Haha.
There is a Magic shop too.
It sells magic cards and disc that teaches you magic tricks.
My sis bought one set.
Haha.
There is some tricks that requires special cards.
So it's the cards, not the tricks.
Haha.
Knew it.

Next was a bakery shop.
Bought pineapple tarts, 凤梨酥 there.
It was delicious.
Haha.

Lastly was the Shilin Night Market, 士林夜市.
Ate the big big chicken cutlet, 炸鸡排, oyster omelette, 虫可仔煎 & stinky tofu, 臭豆腐.
Chicken cutlet's nice.
I prefer Singapore oyster omelette to theirs.
I dont really like stinky tofu.
Bought a shades there.

Hey yo!
Yesterday went to UIC Building, Vivo and Chinatown.
UIC building to ask abt a voucher given by the tour agency and get a Taiwan map from Taiwan Visitor Association.
After which, took bus to Vivocity.
On the way, we passed by the old railway station.
I was so excited over it.
1st time seeing it.
It looks like those railway seen in TV.
Haha.
Went Toys'R'Us to find a toy for our cousin's bday.
Didnt manage to find the right one.
Headed to Chinatown.
Went to OG to find the toy.
We bought the toy and a Hush Puppies polo for our cousin.
I bought a XL-size boys Hush Puppies blue polo for myself too!
Haha.
There were a few leaflets given by the cashier.
I just lumped them into the carrier bag without taking a look.
Headed to CK Departmental store to purchase insect repellent.
After which, headed to change currency.
While waiting, my sis looked at the leaflets and found that we can claim a FREE PEARL FROM OYSTER!
So we went after changing currency.
HOWEVER, after reaching, when we intended to just take the pearl and go,
The saleslady actually started SELLING us their pendant to go with the pearl.
Neither of us dares to reject and say, "It's ok, we'll just take the pearl only."
And hence, we bought the cheapest among the ones she promoted to us, which still costs us $39.90!
When paying, my sis then told me that we were only paying for the pendant.
I still thought a necklace chain was included.
WHAT THE?!
$39.90 for JUST A NORMAL PENDANT!
As if it was made from all diamond!
Dont mention diamond, It's not even crystal I think.
Moreover, $39.90 was a DISCOUNTED PRICE!
How ridiculous!
I should have reject her if I were to know that we were only paying for a pendant!
Not even a full necklace!
I still thought, "Aiya, nvm lar. Buy it for mother's bday present since it's only 1 mth+ away."
And my "it" is a full necklace, not just the pendant.

Another lucky point is that the cost is to be shared among we 4 siss.

And I only suddenly realised it after I finished my meal and drinking my milo.
Then I was brooding over whether to get back the money for quite some long.
Before I decided not to.

Bought a long sweet recommended by Vivian.
It's not bad.
Just that you cant eat a lot within a short time.
Walked ard Vivo and headed Harbourfront centre shortly after.
Settled our dinner at PizzaHut at Harbourfront Centre.
I tried their Basil Crayfish Pasta.
Their ad on tv you know?
Haha.
It's ok.
Maybe coz I dont really like pasta.
It's a bit dry to me for this case.
After dinner, idled ard vivo again to wait until 8.20.

I headed towards Dover for CSCC Movie Marathon.
When Ziping and I reached there at ard 9pm,
Mei Xuan told us that they will actually only start at 10.30pm.
Oh my!
What a long buffer time for ppl to register.
Ziping showed me what she intends to write as proposal for the event she's handling.
Later, we joined a grp who were playing cards.
They used the cards to play maths game.
4 person, each given 13 cards.
Each shows 1 card at a time.
Add/minus/multiple/divide the no. of all cards to get 24.
All must be used but only once for each.
I liked the game.
Coz I LIKE MATHS!
However, the game was kinda of difficult.
Coz it's quite stressing.
You need to think faster than the rest.
Nevertheless, it was fun.

We watched 'Yes, Man!', 'Taken', 'R.E.C.' and a dance show where I was sleeping most of the time.
The first 2 I've watched before.
'R.E.C.' was quite disgusting to me.
It was abt ppl eating each other due to a disease.
I'm still thinking of the storyline and images now.
It was quite a nice show tho it's horrifying and disgusting.
It kept me thinking of the storyline.
I'm still thinking how come the dog get the disease and blah blah blah.
Haha.

Today was DAC'03's 2nd outing.
Almost all turned up.

Enjoyed myself today.
And I've forgotten that Taiwanese prefer fair skin.
Yet, I just tanned myself today tho unintentionally. =(
We ate Sakae Sushi student tea time buffet today.
We were all so full aftering eating a lot to make the buffet worth it.

After eating, I feel that my tummy grew by 2 inches.

Went to Orchard with Ziping and Mei Xuan.
It was great.
We ate at Breeks.
Had their student meal.
It was delicious and asumptuous?.

I was so full but they two werent that full.
I didnt know that they actually have this big appetite.
Then we headed to ION Orchard and walked a while.
Then Far East Plaza and walked around too.
Finished walking at ard 4.30 only.
Then headed back to ION Orchard to find Uniqlo.
Haha.
Our FOM exam paper Case Study qn was on Uniqlo.
That's why I wanna go take a look.
It's a brand from Japan.
I wanna see even more coz of this.
There were actually quite lots of ppl in the shop.
Didnt expect that.
Coz before fom paper, I didnt hear before this brand.
So I thought others didnt too.
But it turned out not.
