A pic of our room in the hotel. Not bad arh?
4 stars hotel. Hee...
Though not the best but better than nothing.
2nd Day, 22nd March
Woke up at ard .
Went to eat buffet breakfast.
Not really to my liking but still not bad.
After breakfast, went to shop at 锦里, a somewhat tourist attraction?
I've forgotten le. =P
The entrance
There's STARBUCKS COFFEE. Wow! LOL!
The 'narrow alley' and 'wide alley' we visited on 1st day have as well.
So class. =D
Cute right? No 'no'. It's cute. =DD
Saw the sculpture of Jackie Chan?
The smaller one beside Jackie Chan's is OBAMA's.
Whoo...
Set off to JiuZaiGou after the visit.
A 'Snow Mountain' scenery taken during the flight. But this is one of our tour grp people took one.
As the scenery on my side is not as beautiful.
The plane has to u-turn back to Chengdu's Airport due to weather.
The weather is not gd enough for the plane to land as the plane has to land on mountains.
P.S. not really those steep mountains but those made flat for the airport, I think.
Taken when we alighted at Chengdu's AirportAs it was a sudden incident, we have to lodge at a 2 stars hotel the airport prepared.
Some of our tour grp people complained.
"From a 4 star hotel dropped to a 2 star hotel, ridiculous."
"Since there are such experiences before, the tour agency should have prepared a hotel for backup."
And so on...
3rd Day, 23rd March
The breakfast the 2 star hotel provided was not bad too.
I soon realised that the hotels in China seems like definitely will provide porridge, egg and man tou, a plain bun, for breakfast. =D
Set off to Chengdu Airport to go to JiuZaiGou.
This one is taken on my side. Hee... =)Taken in the plane.
We landed safely this time round.
People in the plane actually cheered for the safe landing. Whoo..
The airport in JiuZaiGou is named Jiu Zai Huang Long Airport, 九寨黄龙机场.
Tour guide said the name is not gd as it means 十次九黄 = out of ten flights, nine flights will be delayed/cancelled.
Quite true arh. Haha...

The man of the statue is holding to a gun and a bouquet of flowers. As said by our tour guide.

Snow that have became ice.

The 6 photos are taken in a 5 star hotel where few of our tour grp people stayed for a night at Jiu Zai Gou.However, they paid S$80 more per night to stay here.
The rest of us stayed in a 4 star hotel [good enough already].
The next 4 photos are the hotel we stayed in Jiu Zai Gou.
Hotel: 康巴林卡, Kangba Noble Manor
[This is actually the 1 I like most among all the hotels I stayed during the trip]

We stayed in our room until the evening.Went to watch a show that shows the cultural of 藏 and 枪族.
Their customes are really very pretty. =D
Also, the ladies.
The 3 hosts of the show

You know how tall is this man? He's ard 2.2+m tall. WOW!
The hosts told us that we could take photos with him.
I was tempted.
However, luckily I didnt.
As some of our tour grp people said that they actually asked you for money after taking the photos. Eee..

Photos of our room.
4th Day, 24th March
We set off early in the morning at ard 7-8 to Jiu Zai Gou.
Reason being there'll be a lot of people if we go there at a later time.
It was like freezing cold to me at Jiu Zai Gou this morning.
Let's look at the photos now.
[I've forgotten most of the name of lakes. =P]
1st lake visited:

2nd lake visited:

Waterfall visited:

Along the way.
4th lake visited:

5th lake visited:

6th lake visited, 五彩池, Colourful Pool [the only 1 I remember =P]:

Down the stairs.
7th lake visited:
Houses the people there lived
The colourful flags are like the people's sutra. They wrote the script on it.
Everytime wind blows and the flags fly, it's like that they have read the script.
5th Day, 25th March
Went to visit the panda in the morning.
First, red panda.
It looks totally different from panda.
Looks rather like fox.

Next, the main role: Panda

Went to Le Shan after the panda visit. The following photos are taken with Le Shan Da Fo, 乐山大佛.
.JPG)
Saw the mountains behind?Doesnt it look like a sleeping Buddha?
In the boat, some of my tour grp people are joking ard saying that this Buddha is a male that thinks of women.
Bet you can guess it ba?
Sorry if it disgusts you. =D
Went to eat our dinner at a restaraunt near our hotel.
This dinner is all vegetarian food.
I was previuosly afraid that I would not like it.
But it turns out the food is delicious and to my liking. =D
There was a performance by the Emei Mountain wushu disciple.
They performed wushu and one performed Nei Gong.
He was hit by a hard bamboo or wood, I've forgotten, and it broke w/ him alright.
Settled in our hotel soon after and it's our free time the whole night.
Went to walk ard the shops there.
There's actually free spa for us but we didnt go.

Wordings: 秀甲天下

Trying to 'become'/imtiate a fairy. Hee... =P
6th Day, 26th MarchAte breakfast at ard 7.30-8+ am.
The breakfast is not bad as well.
But it has the most variety of food among all the breakfasts I took during the trip.
The look of the hotel but this is the one where we ate our breakfast, not where we slept.
Headed to take a small van to take cable car to Emei Mountain, 俄眉山.
The entrance to take van.
The car ride is like hours.
Very long.
Slept during the ride.
The cable car is very big.
It can carry 100 people at 1 go. WOW!
Haha...
And it is quite fast, less than 10 mins needed to travel up and down.
It is made in German or England, I've forgotten. =P
Following are pics taken on Emei Mountain.
We are lucky that the weather is gd enough that we can see everything very clearly.
It is very difficult to have such a gd weather.
As said by our tour guide. =D
And it is kind of true.
As when we were heading back down to the bottom of the mountain, there is a strong mist.
When sitting in the van, we cannot even see clearly the outside from inside.
Only the driver knows where the road is as he's been driving for a very long time I guess.

Went to Bao Shu Tang, 宝树堂 [a chinese medicine hall?], to listen to something regarding those chinese medicines.
Bought some stuff.
Ate yao shan [food cooked with herbs], 药膳 for dinner.
Delicious.
There was even prawns.
Though not very big but at least better than nothing.
7th/Last Day, 27th March
Went to see Peach Blossom.
However, maybe it's coz the right time is over, there isnt many.
The following pics of peach blossom, there are quite a few that are fake ones. =(
This are the fake ones but still took a photo.Real? Fake? Dont know.
Went to Chun Xi Lu to shop.
There are a few big departmental stores [bigger than SG's BHG, etc.] ard there together.
The shops are mostly the same everywhere.
Nike, Adidas, Puma, Giordano, some shops that is in China only, etc.
Bought the local food products the tour guide told us from a departmental store which has a supermarket on basement.
Also, some other stuff but not many.
Their supermarket dont provide plastic bags, only those in s'pore that is used to put fish.
You have to pay 20 cents RMB to buy one.
Headed to Chengdu Airport straight after.
I initiated to take a grp photo.
Luckily I did so as everyone is more than willing to take one just that no one initiated.
Group photo [w/o flash]
Group Photo [with flash]
Reached Singapore at ard 1+ am on 28th March.
Said goodbye in Singapore Changi Airport.
That marked the end of this Chengdu / JiuZaiGou Trip, 21st - 28th March 2009.
